Increases the image quality by stabilizing the images. The tip/tilt or OTA will be able to compensate for images motion due to atmospheric turbulence, telescope shake, and tracking errors by locally shifting the image directly within the CCD. - Who designed ODI?

Approximately 2500 pounds. - Will students get to use ODI?
Yes. ODI will be used for astronomy research by graduate and undergraduate students at all of the partner universities. - What is so special about ODI?
ODI uses special detectors that can compensate for atmospheric dispersion over the entire field of view. - How big is 1 image?
1 billion pixels and 2 Gigabytes - How is ODI mounted?
ODI will be permanently mounted at one of the two nazmyth foci. - How often will ODI be used?
ODI will use 60% of the total WIYN observing time. - How many filters can ODI hold?
