The first CCD controller arrives in Tucson
October 23, 2008

The first 64-channel CCD controller has been received from the PanSTARRS/Stargrasp team in Hawaii. This controller will serve us as a test-bed to understand how to integrate the controller into the overall instrument control system. In a few month we will attach the controller to real OTA CCD detectors.

In the picture there are only two out of four boards mounted. Each board can drive two OTA CCD detectors.

For ODI there will be a 512-channel controller. The delivery for the entire ODI CCD controller system is scheduled for the middle of next year.
